The Kentucky Department for Public Health Harm Reduction Program is excited to announce the launch of Find Naloxone Now KY, a statewide naloxone access portal and locator map that connects Kentuckians to 136 locations where naloxone is available locally and free of charge.
These include Community-Based Organizations, Local Health Departments, Recovery Community Centers, and Regional Prevention Centers. An additional layer allows website users to view the more than 1,000 community pharmacies where naloxone is available for purchase, by using Medicaid benefits or the naloxone insurance co-pay program. The new website also helps connect agencies to grant funded sources of naloxone. Now, agencies wishing to distribute naloxone in their communities can simply click the “Ordering for an Agency?” button, answer a few questions, and fill out the relevant request form.
We have also published a suite (zip file) of materials that match the website content and are approved for distribution:
- Brochures:
- Fentanyl and Xylazine Test Strips
- Opioid Overdose Recognition and Response
